Helen M. Holt, 88, Oblong, Illinois passed away at 4:50 a.m. Monday, May 23, 2011, at the Ridgeview Care Center, Oblong, Illinois . Born in Crawford County, Illinois the White Oak area on March 7, 1923, she was the daughter of Carl Bradbury and Flora Miller. She was employed with the Index Store, Oblong, IGA Store, Oblong, Red & White Store, Oblong and L. S. Heath & Sons, Robinson in the Production Line. She was a member of the Evangelical United Methodist Church, Oblong and a member in her younger years at White Oak Church, rural Oblong. She enjoyed growing flowers and spoiling her grandkids.
On December 26, 1945, she married Timothy J. “Tim” Holt, who preceded her in death on November 20, 1997. Also preceding her in death were her parents and two brothers, Cecil and Eugene Bradbury.
Helen is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law, Tim & Martha Holt, Larry & Toni Holt, Kenny & Mona Holt and Rick and Karen Holt; 10 grandchildren Matthew & Anne Holt, Mike & Joy Holt, Mark & Stacey Holt, Mac Holt, Mica Holt, Trent Holt, Dewayne & Jenny Holt, Jason & Lisa Holt, Tanner Holt and Jed Holt; 12 great-grandchildren, Makayla Holt, Malynda Holt, Timothy Holt, Tristian Holt and Leona Holt, Keithfer Dolsen, Keirstin Holt, Kiah Holt, Gavin Holt, Jaret Holt, Jace Holt and Hunter Malone; and several nieces and nephews.
Rev. Howard Bell will officiate the funeral service. Burial will be in the Mound Cemetery, rural Jasper County, Illinois.
